Program Overview

Salmon Watch is an experiential, science-based field trip program that teaches youth about salmon and healthy watersheds. Benton County Salmon Watch field trips run from mid-October to mid-November, in Clemens County Park in Alsea, Oregon.

 Salmon Watch Curriculum

Salmon Watch field trips guide students through four outdoors, hands-on learning stations, led by volunteer educators. These stations include:

• Salmon Observation and Biology
• Aquatic Macroinvertebrates
• Water Quality
• Riparian Ecology
